Continuous Mixing Systems
Reading Bakery Systems offer a variety of Exact Continuous Mixing Systems for the baked snack, pet treat, sweet goods, pizza, tortilla and bread and buns industries. Continuous mixing offers a consistent, uniform dough stream to your production line at the same rate is being used, all day, every day.
Continuous Mixing is a process in which dough is mixed without interruption. Streams of dry and liquid ingredients are fed accurately and continuously into the Mixer. The ingredients are "wetted" and pre-blended before entering the mixer cylinder. The dough is worked (a function of shaft configuration and shaft speed) as it moves down the length of the cylinder. At the discharge of the Continuous Mixer, fixed-size loaves of dough are cut continuously and moved to the downstream equipment arriving at the correct time, in the correct size.
A complete Exact Mixing System includes the bulk material and storage, mixer, dry and liquid ingredient metering, and the control system that monitors and distributes product between them.
Exact Mixer models can produce dough consistently with production yields from 500 lbs/hour to over 20,000 lbs/hour. This can be accomplished in an almost employee free operational environment adding significant cost savings and value. Results can be fine-tuned and repeated day in and day out while the history of production can be monitored and saved electronically so that manufacturing data from the past can be reviewed and examined.
