Fabricated Chip Sheeter
The T.L. Green Biscuit & Cracker Fabricated Chip Sheeter is a forming machine capable of consistently sheeting and cutting shapes from potato doughs comprised of dry premixes, potato flakes, whole grain, corn and other formulations. Dough is delivered to the feed hopper positioned above two large-diameter, solid core, water-cooled sheeting rolls. In a single pass, dough is reduced and sheeted to a typical thickness of 0.7 mm (.027"). The dough sheet is fed onto a full-width cutting apron for shape cut-out and scrap removal. Cut shapes are delivered directly into the infeed of an oven or fryer, prior to seasoning and packaging. Product changeover is accomplished by changing the Rotary Cutter die roll. Production volumes vary by product layout and cutting width, but outputs can range from 200 - 450 kg / hr (440 - 900 lbs / hr).
