Filled Stick Extruder
The Reading Bakery Systems Filled Stick Extruder System creates sticks filled with a variety of fillings such as cheese, peanut butter or chocolate. The System consists of several different machines that combine raw batches of dough and dough filling into a specifically shaped filled rope. An LP (Low Pressure) Extruder forces dough into a compression head where it flows around a nozzle containing filling. At the same time, a filling hopper discharges filling to a pump stand that meters the filling into the compression head on the Extruder. Both the dough and the filling exit the compression head through a die plate that gives the co-extruded dough rope its exterior shape.
The product shape is altered by changing the die inserts in the Extruder. The System can be adapted to any existing Reading Pretzel & Snack Extruder simply by adding the pump stand and changing the die and compression head assembly.
The Filled Stick Extruder System can be manufactured as wide as necessary to meet the oven width requirements. The machine is built using multiple single extrusion systems that are either 13” or 15” wide to form machine widths up to 75” or 78”.
