Mixing Equipment

For a consistent dough and finished product, consider the Exact EX Continuous Mixer. It uniformly mixes products with a variety of dough moisture levels and is ideal for crackers, pretzels, pizza, pie crusts, sweet goods, pet treats and a variety of other wheat-based snacks.

The Exact FX Continuous Mixer is designed to distribute small amounts of moisture evenly into large amounts of powder, making it the perfect choice for making fabricated potato chips.

Forming Equipment

Rotary Moulded Snacks: The Thomas L. Green Rotary Moulder efficiently produces high definition, three dimensional shapes by pressing dough into a die roll. The interchangeable die roll is made of engraved brass and can be supplied with segmented rings for simultaneous, multiple shape production.

Extruded and Co-Extruded Snacks: The Reading Pretzel Low Pressure (LP) Extruder enables customers to create a variety of structural, flat and filled extruded and co-extruded shapes and sticks. It is more flexible and cost-effective than conventional dough forming and sheeting systems when you produce a variety of snack products.

Reading Bakery Systems also offers a single screw, high-pressure extrusion system for producing expanded snacks from corn, rice and other cereal ingredients. The standard JA High Pressure Extruder produces corn curls and corn ball shapes, onion rings, popcorn and other snack products.

Sheeted Snacks: The Thomas L. Green Sheeter creates a consistent dough sheet, and Gauging Stations ensure accurate thickness prior to forming. Form scrapless geometric shapes and distinct shapes with the Rotary Cutting Station.

Baking & Drying Equipment

With the Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVENĀ®, customers benefit from a variety of heat transfer combinations in one modular design. The convection baking platform features operator-controlled air temperature, circulation speed, exhaust, and moisture removal for reliable, consistent snack baking.

Increase oven speed, production throughput and process control by adding an optional SPECTRUM Multi-Pass Dryer.
