RBS Tunnel Ovens

It offers direct gas-fired (DGF), convection, and Emithermic (radiant/convection) baking zones. Customers will enjoy balanced and consistent product quality, color, taste, and texture.

The Reading Pretzel SPECTRUM OVENĀ® offers the same flexibility as the PRISM OVEN for baking pretzels, bread snacks, crisps, and potato snacks, with several different combinations of heat transfer zones in one modular design.

The convection baking platform features operator-controlled air temperature, circulation speed, exhaust, and moisture removal for consistent baking. Adding an optional SPECTRUM Multi-Pass Dryer will increase oven speed, production throughput, and process control.

PRISM and SPECTRUM OVENĀ® are available with a full range of control options for optimum performance. "Recipe" settings within the control processor allow for fast and repeatable startups, and controls are provided as easy-to-use touchscreen interfaces.

RBS Electric Ovens

Energy-saving technology is an exciting development in the world of cooking, and there are many benefits to using energy efficient ovens.

If you are interested in full electric baking, RBS offers an electric version penthouse for our convection style and emithermic ovens.  The gas penthouse can be exchanged with an electric penthouse on our existing ovens. This would only involve a new penthouse and the electrical control panel. 

We have also developed an electric cracker oven to replace DGF ovens by modifying our Emithermic Oven Zone. This enables it to impart the higher heat required by crackers without many air currents that would dry the product before allowing flavor and flavor texture development.
