In-Line Laminator

The Thomas L. Green In-Line Laminator utilizes precision servo motor control to accurately cut, stack and deliver laminated dough to the downstream reduction and forming equipment. Dough sheets are conveyed to the discharge conveyor by the servo driven layering carriage.  This carriage deposits the sheets by extending them to the far edge of the laminator take-away conveyor.  The carriage retracts while conveying, laying the sheets gently on top of the moving lamination stack. The precise and gentle placement of cut sheets provides uniform dough density at both the edges and center of the finished cracker sheet and eliminates problems associated with traditional "lapper" technology.

The rotary knife cut depth is adjustable as the knife passes through the dough sheet, providing a clean separation of individual sheets. The length of the dough sheets, the conveyor speeds and the number of laminations are all computer controlled and synchronized with the rest of the production line for continuous quality control.

A dough sheeter may be installed to the side, or directly above, the Laminator providing a compact and efficient production layout.
